Matters of the Heart
“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13
Saturday Morning at Northpointe Church
Through a wonderful series of events, arranged by God, Alive in Christ Ministries was invited to share a few teachings with a church not too far from our home in Spring Hill, FL.
Steve Wells, the Pastor of North Pointe wrote a few words of how God spoke to Him: “The blessing was truly ours! I am humbled and honored to think that God would bring such a high quality, amazing, “uncalendared”event in the middle of “Christmas hurriedness” to our congregation. Only God could have planned that. And He exceeded my prayers in providing content that challenged and motivated me to a deeper relationship with Him! I am confident that many others shared this experience.
As I shared with a friend, what took place here was equivalent to starting a campfire.
Step One: Strategically stack the dry pieces of kindling wood. Everyone who attended today were those strategic pieces of kindling wood.
Step Two: Light the Fire
Step Three: Throw all the wood on the fire. Once the fire is blazing it does not really matter what kind of wood we throw on it, soon everyone (piece of wood) thrown in the fire will catch ablaze... that is how revival begins.
Step Four: Watch the fire and smoke soar. All the people around town will see the smoke rising and ask... ‘What is that?’ People are drawn to see what is happening
Step Five: Smell it for miles. I loved your aroma illustration (shared on the second page) today. Smoke...although it may not be seen... can be smelled for miles... I can remember all those fires a few years ago in South Florida... how we could smell them hundreds of miles away... That is what I think has just begun at the NORTH POINTE CHURCH... To God’s Glory! And the best part... I had nothing to do with it! I love that the MOST!”
To the thirsty God gives water that will satisfy! What a joy to draw near to God who loves us and gives us eternal life!
Wendy shares some words from her attendance that morning: “Just a note of gratefulness for your willingness to bring the message of Jesus. I never fully realized my death in Christ’s crucifixion until now. God had been preparing me for your message over the past couple of weeks/months. He is Good. And His timing is perfect.
Thank you, faithful servant.
